How It Works

A quiet process, built around your consent.

A role opens, and the same message goes out to everyone who fits the description on paper. We work the other way around.

  1. We research the market, not a list.

    We follow the corporate lateral market closely enough to know who is worth contacting before a search becomes public, and why a particular move might fit a particular lawyer.

  2. We tell you the substance first.

    When we reach out, it is because we found a specific reason, and the message says what that reason is. You get the facts that matter before anyone gets your name.

  3. You decide whether it is worth a conversation.

    No pressure, no follow-up sequence designed to wear you down. A no is a complete answer and we record it.

  4. Only then do we introduce you.

    If the opportunity is worth pursuing, we hand you to the specialist recruiter who actually holds that mandate, with the context already in place so you never explain yourself twice.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not post jobs.
  • We do not send mass messages.
  • We do not share your name, your firm, or your interest with anyone before you tell us to.
  • We do not keep contacting you after you say no.
  • We do not give your name to a firm before there is an agreement in place.

Podding is not a placement firm and does not run searches. We work alongside the specialist legal recruiters who do, and who hold the relationship with the firm on the other side.

That separation is deliberate. It means our only job is to be right about whether a conversation is worth your time, and it means we have no reason to push you toward a seat that does not fit.
